Eric’s Reclaiming the Mind Blog

When I saw that Reclaiming the Mind.org was setting up blogs, I jumped at the chance. I have several blogs, but still haven’t found the perfect (free) combination of capabilities and usefulness, so I thought I would try this out. I considered using this blog solely to explore Christian topics while using my other blogs for secular ones, but that has never worked for me in the past. As of today (May 13, 2008) I’ve been blogging for about 3 1/2 years and have never really drummed up much traffic. My goal is to write about, well, whatever I feel like writing about. I’m into all kinds of interests, from the Bible to history to politics to philosophy to gadgets to information technology, to health to all kinds of things. I never know what I’ll get interested in next.

A little bit about me: I’m currently 34, with a wife and two boys, Joshua and Caleb. Yes, we deliberately named them after the two spies of twelve that Moses sent into Canaan who returned with a good report. I’m working as an engineer, and enjoying it. I’m a computer geek, and if left to my own devices, I’d spend way too much time on my computers. Like many men with a young family, I go through many highs and lows in life as I shift between lofty dreams of the future and the current realities of trying to keep my head above water. I’ll probably write (sporadically) about my interests and somehow through the big picture of that bring glory to our Lord Jesus Christ.

I may add to this about page some of my personal history, and of course how I came to Christ. That will be later.
