Moving Into Yet Another Blog

I signed up for a Reclaiming the Mind Blog this morning when I saw the notice in my Google Reader feeds. I’ve had several blogs over the years, from Blogger to MSN Spaces. I even have a free blog on Wordpress that I’ve rarely used. I’ve never found the right combination of features and power that I wanted. I stuck with Blogger for a long time, and they slowly added some basics like categories and the ability to post images. Then Blogger started requiring a CAPTCHA to post. I understand how CAPTCHAs can help to stop spammers, but they also help to stop me. No matter how hard I try, it takes me at least three attempts to enter one right. I can’t tell half the time if the CAPTCHA is looking for upper case or lower case. I moved to the Windows Live Spaces blog I’ve had, but that still seems a little limited.

Obviously, if I were willing to PAY for a hosted blog, things might be different. So far I’m not to that point. I enjoy writing, and hopefully the more I write the better I’ll get. I’m slowly learning to communicate my thoughts in writing better. I may be better off not having had many visitors to my blogs up to this point, as I’m still learning how to defend my ideas.

So far this post is preceded by one other. I’m going to try to import other posts from my previous blogs in an attempt to keep everything together. I think I’ll have to do it manually, however.
